Harvest for Bounty Baskets usually begins Wednesday evening and continues through Thursday morning. Produce is washed, bundled and packed into your delivery box with recycled ice packs to keep everything cool and crisp during delivery and until you retrieve it (usually we can count on 5-7 hours of chilled produce, even in summer).
Every Thursday, prior to delivery we ask that our customers place the previous week's delivery box back on their porch for pickup. Thus, every week your produce is delivered to your doorstep as fresh and protected as possible.
Note: Failure to set your box out may cause your next delivery to be delivered in a cooler bag depending on how many delivery boxes we have at our disposal.
There are no refunds for weeks when you are not able to receive your Bounty Basket delivery. Here are some options for you instead:
1. Ask a neighbor, friend or family member to pick it up for you.
2. Donate your week's produce to a family in need - just let us know and we'll make arrangements. We have an ongoing list.
3. Donate the cost of the weekly basket to the farm's growth efforts, i.e. new plantings, free events, education, and infrastructure - all designed to make our long-term success as a small farm in Indiana more viable.
Just let us know if you'll be out of town or unable to receive/pick up, 24 hours in advance if possible.
